Clare is a North Norfolk artist whose creativity is rooted in family.  Growing up surrounded by art, her Grandmother, father and aunt were all painters.  She inherited a deep love of creativity from an early age  that she has honed over the years into her own original style.

Inspired by the coastline, Clare paints the shifting relationship between sky, land, and sea. Her semi‑abstract style captures the drama of Norfolk’s weather and light, using acrylics,  occasionally oils, and metallic paints.  Each piece is unique, sometimes she uses texture on her canvas and sometimes she uses boards.  Brush strokes and pallet knife marks will be seen on originals as well as the odd stray paintbrush hair! She also  loves using paper which is where she started her artistic journey as a watercolourist. Clare lives and paints in her studio in the North Norfolk countryside. Together with her husband she has been renovating both their 300 year old home and their holiday home on the coast just outside Blakeney. They will be showcasing Clare's art at their cottage when it is ready watch this space!
